About SCHS

About SCHS Seymour High School - 1920's The Seymour Community Historical Society was officially incorporated on October 11, 1975. A dedicated group of local historians led by Tom Duffey, Rita Gosse, and Bill Collar established the society with the assistance of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. Since its inception, SCHS members have been active in collecting and preserving records and physical objects relating to the city of Seymour and the surrounding area.

The Society is actively promoting a better understanding of its role. Projects include advocacy for historical preservation, educational outreach, publications, operation of a museum, and serving as a historical resource for the community.

The Seymour Community Historical Society is a 501(c) (3) tax exempt non-profit organization funded primarily through membership dues and donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations.

Gifts to the Seymour Community Historical Society are tax-deductible as allowed by law. New members are always welcome.
